An elegant numbered gentleman’s watch that has become unisex (first production following the end of the Chaumet era in 1987).
18-karat yellow gold case (750 parts per thousand), fluted case middle and “godronnée” bezel, clipped back (signed, hallmarked, and numbered both back and dial). Silvered white gold dial with a "guilloché" center, date window at 6 o’clock, and Roman numeral indexes. Sapphire cabochon crown and blued steel Breguet-style hands.
Vintage BREGUET crocodile leather strap, worn on the inside, with an 18-karat yellow gold (750) pin buckle—originally signed and a custom-made black Art Deco-style leather strap.
Movement: Mechanical automatic winding caliber signed BREGUET / 549, based on the JAEGER-LeCOULTRE 88911 Swiss.
Note: Thank you to the Heritage Department and Emmanuel Breguet for granting us access to the manufacture’s archives. The watch has been sold on June 6, 1991, to a BREGUET agent based in Singapore, the company “Hour Glass.”
