An elegant and rare officer’s watch with an exceptionally large dial (for its time), nicknamed “Big Pan.” This export model features a red star at 12 o’clock and was intended primarily for the markets in Havana and Brazil.
Brushed steel case with horn-shaped lugs and a clipped back (signed Omega and numbered, with an export mark at 11 o’clock). Silver dial with a minute track on the flange and a hollowed small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. Applied gold-plated Arabic numerals and steel spear-shaped hands. Crown bearing the Omega logo.
Two straps: a custom-made gold ostrich leather strap and a vintage lizard leather strap with a pin buckle.
Movement: Mechanical manual winding calibre signed OMEGA / 30TPC (serial-numbered), Swiss.
Note: The star on the dial identifies the watch as a Teddington model, fitted with the same type of movement as the Omega wristwatch that achieved the best result in the history of the Kew-Teddington precision trials.
