An elegant, curved square watch from the “Santos” collection, named in tribute to the famous aviator and friend of Louis Cartier.
Brushed steel case with an 8-screw applied bezel, horn lugs, a faceted cabochon crown with a protective flange, and an 8-screw back (signed and numbered). Silver opaline Art Deco-style dial with oversized Roman numerals and a railway-track minute track. Sword-shaped hands and a large blued steel seconds hand.
Original CARTIER steel strap with articulated links secured by screws and a deployant buckle and a black leather aviator-style strap from the era with a pin buckle.
Movement: Mechanical automatic winding caliber signed CARTIER / 049 based on an ETA Swiss movement.
