A legendary and exceptional “third-generation” aviation pilot's chronograph designed for Boeing pilots (the Flightmaster was produced between 1969 and 1977).
Large-aperture, drum-shaped brushed steel case, two crowns with an inner graduated unidirectional bezel (adjustment at 8 o’clock), screwed back (signed and numbered). Version with white luminescent hands, large central seconds hand, and orange-red sub-dial hands. Black slate dial with three black-rimmed sub-dials: small seconds at 9 o’clock (replacing the first-generation 24-hour sub-dial), minutes at 3 o’clock, and hours at 6 o’clock. Oversized blue hands for the second time zone (GMT), adjustable at 10 o’clock via the blue pusher.
OMEGA steel strap with a vintage deployant buckle (ref. 1162) and a khaki rally pilot’s leather strap with a pin buckle. An exceptional vintage OMEGA nautical sports leather strap with a signed pin buckle is also included.
Note that this third-generation chronograph looks almost identical to the second generation (ref. 145.026). The only difference is the crystal: it is now mounted using sleeves rather than grooves.
Movement: Mechanical manual winding caliber signed OMEGA / 911 Swiss.
