Aviation pilot's chronograph from the first series of the manufacturer's Flightmaster collections.
Steel barrel case with sunburst bezel, large barrel-shaped aperture and integrated lugs under the case, screwed back (signed Omega and numbered, engraving of the Boeing aircraft almost completely worn away). Faded brown “tropical” dial with three circled counters, including a 24-hour (AM/PM) dial at 9 o'clock, minutes at 3 o'clock, and hours at 6 o'clock. Inner directional graduated bezel (adjusted via the crown at 8 o'clock). Oversized blue hands, second GMT time zone (adjusted via the other crown at 10 o'clock). Large orange second hand and mineral crystal.
Vintage OMEGA steel strap with deployant buckle (ref. 1159), orange topstitched sports leather strap and vintage green pilot's strap in oiled leather.
This chronograph is the benchmark for airline pilots of the 1970s.
