BREITLING (Chronographe Genève GMT - Compax / ref. 812), vers 1968

Rare GMT version of this pilot chronograph from the 70s nicknamed pizza, by the pilots of the time, because of its oversized size.

Octogonal-shaped steel case with notched bezel in blackened steel with patina (and lack), activating the slide rule under the glass (bronze and gold color), graduation on 24h / GMT, screwed back (signed and numbered, engraved with patent 
numbers.DDE.BR 11525.67 almost erased). Black dial with luminescent Tritium baton indexes, 3rd yellow arrow hand for reading the 2nd time zone (reading on the 24-hour black scale), Luminova skeleton hands. Three silvered counters: small seconds at 9 o'clock, minutes at 3 o'clock and hours at 6 o'clock, large red chrono second hand (2nd generation).

Note: this chronograph has been also produced in a version with an automatic caliber Chrono-Matic Buren 11.

Vintage sport strap in oiled leather and a pilot leather with deployant buckle.

Movement: Mechanical manual winding caliber signed BREITLING / VALJOUX 72 Swiss.
