BREITLING (Chronographe Navitimer CHRONO-MATIC / Cosmonaute 24 H / ref. 1809), vers 1970

Rare large aperture automatic sport chronograph (1st hand that belonged to a fighter pilot).

Octagonal-shaped steel case, black anodized steel notched bi-directional bezel (with a slight lack) and screwed back (signed and numbered, patent no. DDE.BR 11525/67). Black dial with integrated slide rule and silvered bezel on the flange graduated over 60. Functions: the hour hand runs through 24 hours in a single turn of the dial. Two silvered counters (minutes at 3 o'clock and hours at 9 o'clock) and date window at 6 o'clock. Orange spatula hands and large orange second hand, tritium Arabic numerals.

Comes with 2 straps, a vintage rubber Tropic strap and a black VWS leather strap.

Movement: Mechanical automatic-winding caliber signed BREITLING / Buren 14 Swiss.
