BREITLING (Chronographe Cosmonaute 24H / Navitimer réf. A12322), vers 2000

Chronograph from the Navitimer Cosmonaut series with its 24-hour reading dial (a BREITLING Cosmonaut model was worn by astronaut Scott Carpenter aboard the AURORA 7 capsule in 1962), produced between 1992-2001 under various references.

Steel case with screwed back (signed and numbered). Multi-function steel notched bezel (used as a slide rule: climb time, fuel consumption rate and conversion of miles to nautical miles or kilometers). Function: the hour hand moves through 24 hours in a single turn of the dial. Black dial with three hollowed silvered counters, tritium Arabic numerals (now cream) and luminescent spear hands. Hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, small seconds at 9 o'clock, minutes at 3 o'clock, second hand with red chrono arrow in the center.

Two BREITLING straps, a vintage blue pilot strap in leather with deployant buckle and a steel strap with deployant buckle (BREITLING attachment attached).

Movement: Mechanical manual winding caliber signed BREITLING / Lemania 1873 Swiss.
